Landcare groups help build networks of knowledge and expertise to help improve our environment and the sustainability of our farming practices.
Landcare groups across the Mallee CMA region undertake a range of works such as weed removal, planting trees, and rabbit control. Landcare groups also host a range of workshops and community events.

The Regional Landcare Coordinator (RLC) is based with the Mallee CMA and delivers the Victorian Landcare Grants across the region. The Victorian Landcare Grants support Landcare and environmental volunteer groups and networks with funding for on-ground works, education and capacity building projects that protect and restore our land and natural environment.

A Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator (SAF) is also based with the Mallee CMA and plays a crucial role in supporting the transition to sustainable agricultural practices. The Mallee SAF is one of 54 across Australia that helps to connect stakeholders, share information, and facilitate partnerships to achieve climate-smart and sustainable agriculture outcomes.
